Hacker on Chicago 1

Hi there was a hacker on Chicago 1 server. Admin is present in the server right now as of 4:32am central time.

Story: I saw smaws spawned at the MASH camp in cherno, i was being chased by zombies and i ran past couple of people, i ran back to see that a hacker was swimming in the ground spawning SMAWs, and then shortly after a a10 appeared in front of me and indeed someone was piloting it.

A player named Kate was present at the scene but ran away, only person i saw was someone swimming in ground spawning smaws and shortly after a a10, other people confirmed the audio of the a10.

I didnt get a screenshoot for the smaw spawn and the a10 spawns in time but this is what i gotten after the admin claimed that everyone was kicked out of the chicago 1 server http://i47.tinypic.com/2m3l5ec.png

Yep, confirmed. Although this is the wrong forum (unless you read it as an appeal to ban a particular person), this is a thing that actually happened.

BlackJack and LightCell were fairly diligent in recording the action. LightCell even promises us a flickershow! I have the scripts and log file, of course, and I'm reviewing them now. 14 hour admin duties to get the server off its feet aren't fun, especially when people are trying to pull this shit, I'm already dead tired, and I have at least one idiot who decided to pick up an illegal weapon he claimed he knew to be hacked in and then proceeded to continue killing people with it. Without reporting it.

You wouldn't happen to be the server host of Chicago 1 would you? It's getting hard to track our server hosts as there are so many.. but if so.. After seeing this post I went on Chicago 1 and updated the scripts.txt with some new stuff and applied a fresh set of bans that have been pending for most servers.

"Flickershow" is right. I hope the devs fix the wire fence/tank trap stuff soon :D... Anyway I apologize for the rest of the video quality. For some reason Vegas 9 has an issue with it. Can't seem to fix the actual flickering. :huh:

Anyway, as I promised here is the video. I basically have fraps running 24/7 for any game I play for this reason.

Another thing I'd like to point out is that once me and the other player I was with killed him, he came back while I was behind the wall watching.

This could be moved to Server General, it would get more views from other server hosts and admins to keep an eye out for this, as well as other players who wouldn't have reason to look in the Ban Appeals subforum.

We got on a server a group of players with highly suspicious gear (M107 TWS, Mk 16), using a fully repaired helicopter.

They were banned on this server, but i'm pretty sure they will do this again on other servers (i will name them if asked, but not now)

It's the third time i see a hacker on this mod, using several cheats (GBU carpet bombing, revealing position of players on map, and spawning illegal gear), it's really ruining the game.

Im also noticing on alot of people that they will get kicked for Script Restriction #33 idk if that has to do with any of the hacking that has been happening.

Scripts are used to help bypass the BE Anti Cheat.

It does and it doesn't. Getting kicked for it doesn't mean you're using it. It's erring on the side of generating a false positive.
