Setting up for daytime on a private hive

Recommended Posts

I just downloaded the files for a private hive server to run on my personal computer.

Basically just playing with friends, but I would like to know where/how I can edit the setting for the time. Most of us play at night when we get off work (PST) (California) to be exact, and when I start my server it is always night time, and dark.

Which files do I change?

Find your "HiveExt.ini" file.

[Time]
;Possible values: Local, Custom, Static
Type =Custom
;If using Custom type, offset from UTC in hours (can be negative as well)
Offset =-6
;If using Static type, the hour to set the time to
Hour =11

To have the server use your local timezone, set the Type=Local. (The Offset and Hour values will be ignored)

To have the server use an offset, like GMT+2 ... set the Type=Custom and the Offset=-6. (The Hour value will be ignored)

To have your server always in daylight, you have to make sure it reboots at least twice a day ... set the Type=Static and Hour=7 (i.e. 07:00 or 7:00 AM). (The Offset value will be ignored)

HTH. :)

Thank you very much!

I just tried the Static Option and set the Hour to 7, but for some reason it is still night time. Do I need to log in as an admin and restart the server or just close it all out and re open the start up?
