How to Actually Get in a Server?

I bought Arma II:CO last night, downloaded DayZ from Steam and have been trying to play since then. I was able to get into 1 server yesterday. When I got off work today I thought I'd play some more, but EVERY (I mean literally EVERY) server I try to join it gives me the "Bad version" error.

Can anybody help me out here? It's driving me absolutely insane.

Download Dayz Commander and update all of your DayZ and ARMA stuff in the commander. Then you can even look at all the Dayz servers through Dayz Commander. This should fix your issue. :)

it's most likely because you need the latest Arma II Beta version (http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php), but I think easiest would be DayZCommander, as hockeyguy sayd (though it shuts down my internet every time I launch it, but I seem to be the only one).

Yeah, I think there are some issues with the version Steam installs being slightly out-of-date, so it's generally easier to install DayZ through DayZ Commander and using the built-in serverbrowser. It's not that hard, and you can still launch the game through Steam if you're so inclined.

Thanks guys. I deleted all my Arma installs and am re-installing now. I'll see if DayZ Commander works for me.
