STOP RIGHT THERE CRIMINAL SCUM!

Barbed wires, sandbags, and hedgehogs can all be used to secure bases. ALTHOUGH! They have their pros and cons.

1: Zombies are able to pass through barbed wire, aswell as any AI.

2: Sandbags can easily be vaulted over

3: Hedgehogs are very small and it is possible to slip through them.

4: Basically all of them are able to be taken down with a toolbox.

Thank you for your time.

Note: Using barbed wire and sandbags together will make a great anti-player barricade, although pretty much all barricades (except the hedgehog) can be passed through by zombies.

Note note: I do not know what zombies can/cannot pass through except for barbed wire, as I have not tested it yet. So please correct me if I am wrong.

TBH that rock on the ground is more likely to stop a zombie than barbed wire.

I find an DMR round to the head stops zombies well :)

This also works.

Oooh, it works very well.

Rocks are one of nature's most devilish creatures in Dayz, as it can viciously break your bones just by walking/running over it.

Doesn't double strands of Barbed Wire stop Zombies? I haven't actually tried it ... will give it a bash on my server tonight. :)

Also, don't these items eventually disappear after a few days?

Make an awesome base and put it out in the open. I will totally help you with it bro And then me and my friends will help you. You might accidentally die though.

Personally I find putting a bunch of crap around your tents/base/whateveryouwannacallit makes it easier to spot. Find a good hiding spot that isn't near the shore and you should be fine. Go somewhere else, and try to find it a few times. If you can easily spot it, move it until you have difficulty seeing it as you approach.

Oh, we where talking about hidden tree bases? I thought we where talking about setting up a defence point and shooting things in sight at the Elektro firestation.

Best way to hide your tent is find at minimum 2 pine tree's close together (or 3) and go from there, if you can't access tent by mistake, get URAL and knock tree's down and pack tent, try again :)
