My suggestions for begginers

Ok so I have a few observations about DayZ game play (I've watched videos and observed, because I'm a poor person saving up money to buy it)

1.DON'T FOLLOW ROADS! As in don't run on the roads, its dangerous because bandits use traps(oooh free car! SPLAT!)

and people might run you over.Also you are easy to see.

2.HIDE IN THE TREE LINE! If you want to go to a town but don't have a map, you could follow roads if you stay a decent distance from the road while croaching/going pron if you here a lot of noise(gun shots, cars going by, etc.)

3.GET A WEAPON! Your most important task is to find a weapon, even if it is a crappy pistol, so what take it, you can't sneak everywhere.

4.GET FOOD,DRINK AND MEDICINE! You will need this, after all you wouldn't want to run around on a broken leg bleeding out while starving?(I think not!)

5.GET ORGANIZED! You will need a base of operations HIDEN somewhere to store excess food/gear.

6.YOU PROBILY DON'T WANT TO PLAY AT NIGHT! At least untill you get some night-vision gogles or heat-seeking-gogles.This is becasue a bandit group can easily target you if you use flares, flashlights, and chem-lights.

7.DON'T GO TO MILITARY BASES! Not right away because you will get killed unless you are going in with a team of another 10 plp who have more experience.(This is if you just started playing remember?)

8.BE PATIENT! If you aren't patinet you will die.almost always.

9.YOU MIGHT WANA HELP! If you see a person requesting help,sit there untill they pass out, or break there legs before you help, always keeping an eye on them(You don't have to help, but don't kill them for there stuff if you have a assault rifle and he has a flashlight.)Who knows, you might make a very good ally?

10.NUMBERS DON'T ALWAYS EQUAL GOOD! If you see a group of people running around an area observe them, look at what they do.If that aren't talking they are using skype or something, witch means they are organized, mabye even a bandit group.

11.PLAY WITH FRIENDS! You are gona want some help gathering supplies and killing zombies, backup to protect your stuff when you die. You are also probaly gona get lonely all alone, mabey even trying to join a group of people you just see (probaly getting yourself killed)

12.STEALTH IS YOUR FRIEND! I don't care what anyone says stealth is the best way to go on a supply run by yourself. because you don't have backup to transfuse blood to you if you charge in head first, and you will use less reasorces, makeing your gain higher.

13.SHOOT ON SIGHT, I THINK NOT! Don't shoot on sight, you want to be carefully and be aware of your surrondings

if you have an advantige over the other player use it,help them out by killing some zeds, but if you don't have the advantige you might wana watch what they do.Shooting on sight seems to be the worst advise i see on the forums, because the person might be freindly.

14.IF YOU HAVE A BASE PROTECT IT! As in don't go straight to your base from a supply run, BANDITS SOMETIMES FOLLOW YOU TO YOUR BASE! You should take alternate routes eveytime and make sure they are long, complicated,and mixed up!

These are my observations on the game from listening and watching videos of DayZ on YouTube.

I haven't played the game but these are things that seem like they would help some plp.

Not everything is correct, but I appalude your research having never played the game! Well done! Now if all the nOObs applyed this much effort in understanding the game, this section would be irrelevant.

# 9 will get you killed. We have used this tactic, and have a second man in a corner waiting to kill the happy go lucky guy who wants to help people.

#14 will get you killed if your not in a clan, and I mean a GOOD clan.

#3-4 Well, thats just fucking common sence.

#7 No, dont be afraid to hit a military base, if you dont have much on ya, whats to lose?

# 13 Again, that will get you dead quick, dont help other players you dont know to kill Zeds, they will think your shooting at them!! that, and your wasting ammo, that, and your giving your position away to a 3rd party that might be observing and zeroing in on your skull. I speak from experience, being the (Third Party)

My advise.

1. Dont trust ANYONE!

2. Join a clan if you want to learn the game, and I mean really LEARN the game. And once you do, leave. Or stay if ya like the guys. You will learn soo much if your in with the right group of people, more than you would on your own or watching videos.

15.BUY THE GAME! Spend the 15quid and rather than guesswork and youtube videos you will be able to actually play and enjoy the immersive experince that is Dayz

6 is actually a bad tip. I think it'd be better playing at night due to the fact players (unless they have NV goggles or brightness/gamma turned up) and zombies won't see you as easily. Use the darkness to your advantage. If you stumble upon a player and they don't see you, follow them for a bit and see if they have a base and what not.

You can also have some fun at night. See a player in a town all alone? Why not spook him out a bit by throwing flares and chemlights near him. Pretty fun B)

They should add processed cheese packages that add +300 blood but slow you down for a little cause cheese is sticky.
