I kind of like the new patch

Even with the absence of food and water from... Everywhere, I like it. Now you literally have to kill zombies, just to find food and drink on them. Starting with no weapon makes it even more intense.

You start with nothing, your only chance of survival is to find a gun and ammo (which so far seems decently easy to do) then fight the infected until they drop supplies. Adds a new dynamic since now you can't just avoid the infected forever, you need to fight them. Additionally I like the evasion mechanic, it isn't too easy to lose them, but with some work and quick thinking you can get rid of them. Of course running inside basically is a get out of jail free card haha. Also LOVE the switching ammo to work in gun of choice, so convenient.

On a side note, for the first time since I started playing this mod, I ran across 3 people none of whom tried to kill me outright.

Anyways that is just my opinion on it. Anyone else really enjoying the added challenge?

I actually like that idea, quick fix splints for if you can't find medical supplies that only help mobility a little, and could add actual medical splints to the loot table to help with broken bones. Just a little more logical than morphine. After hammering out more features I would like to see bone breaks expanded on, broken leg bone can't walk, broken arm can't aim nearly as well, etc etc. though that might be out of scope.

Agreed, I'm loving the changes. I started a new character this morning and in two hours had just a ton of fun, and was very successful. I even had a close encounter with another survivor and I did not murder him (normally I'm paranoid enough to be shoot on sight to anyone I see) since we were both in elektro and I didn't want any more zombie drama than necessary.

No idea if he would've shot me though. He aggro'd a zombie and took off running without saying a word.

No, I ran into a store to escape some zombies and I hear a guy say "in the store friendly??" and I say "yeah just running from zeds and looking for ammo" and we went on our merry way. He was in the front with a shotgun and another guy was in the back with a rifle. So I just walked past them and out onto the back where I found camo and a m1911, then left. Later was running through a field and some guy with a rifle was doing stuff in his inventory, I shouted " friendly running past you in the field" saw him turn and aim at me as I ran past, as soon as I was clear he went back the other way.

I was incredibly surprised/relieved.

Yeah, getting a broken leg just after spawning is seriously not fun. Luckily I was in Cherno when it happened so I managed to crawl to the hospital.. Funny thing is it probably saved my life because by crawling I didn't have to worry about zeds really.

The game was way too easy before.
