Infected Animals

Sometimes while wandering Chernarus, you will find wild animals, such as pigs. It could add a little bit more variety to DayZ if these animals could also show up as zombies, being smaller, faster, and harder to hit, but being more fragile that your average zombie.

By the way, is it frowned upon to post multiple suggestions in different threads within a short period of time in this forum? I'm new here.

Sorry to be "that guy" but yeah it is frowned upon the search bar is there. Feel free to contribute to those threads! I do think it's a good idea though.

I think the understanding is that animals should be able to retaliate. This form of virus strain only affects humans and the players are immune to it.

This should counteract as animals able to defend themselves when they feel it's the need to which would probably be most the time since they're under constant disturbance.

Would be fun if an zed would "accidently" bite an animal and get infected, when the player sees the animal: "Oh, getting some grilled food tonight." then it attacks the player and the herbivoure becomes a carnivoure. The "zombie" meat should ofc differ from normal grilled meat.

EDIT: What about zombie meat from the zeds or canabalism from players? It's doable and survival.
