inconsistent results with 1.7.1.1

this makes no sense to me, i will either join a server right away with no problems (very very rarely) or i will get really low fps or the "this server is runner 1.7.1 and you are runner 1.7.1.1" (when the server browser quite clearly says it is 1.7.1.1 and not 1.7.1) no sound!

or it will just hang on the loading screen! or the character creation screen,

it just seems like its pot luck whether you connect successfully or not, sometimes it works but mostly it doesnt,

its just getting quite tedious spending most of my time in the server browser!

Exact same experience here... I'm hoping the servers just need some time to adapt to 1.7.1.1 but for now most are highly unstable. I don't understand why fps should be server-related either...

Some server lies to you about their version, you just gotta keep trying. However, if you go look at the thread in this section of the forums called "GUIDE To those who are invisible / no debug" , I have posted a way to get the game working right. The Op's post didnt work for me , but my manipulations did.
