Jerry Can problem

I can't fill Jerry cans up;

I've ran away from them far enough, come back and tried again.

I know what the fuel tanks look like.

It's not due to camo clothing or soldier outfit as it was happening in survivor skin.

It's not specific to any one tank, it's global.

My only idea could be because our server was on 5.5, then downgraded to 4.4 and since then I haven't been able to fill cans up. It's kind of impossible to play properly alone now as I have to find full jerry cans before i can even start driving.

I used the search bar also and the only thread was closed.

I decided to check a few server, can't use Jerry cans at all. <_< wtf.

are you sure it empty? does it have a red line through it in your main inventory, like an empty water bottle? dunno why you're running away? just make sure the can is in your main inventory, go up to the middle of a fuel tank (not a gas one) and scroll wheel to select fill can.. simples..

Yes it's empty..

I'm running away so that it resets, like with many things in this broken game lol. (loot spawns, stuff underneath heli crash sites)

I know it might come across like I don't know how to fill up a Jerry can but that's not the case. I've done literally everything I can and yet the game will not let me fill it up.

Have you tried waiting a couple minutes? I have noticed that some corpses won't let you loot them right away and have to wait a couple minutes.

This doesn't happen on our Server, Search; Trauma in Day Z commander.

Yeah I've been at one for 5 minutes or more just logging out and trying.

It seems to be in every server.

I had this happen to me too. Honestly, I have no explanation. It just started to work one day. I did have to change the position I fill up at though. Sort of more to the middle instead of closer to the end.

i belive this is a server side bug, admins need to update a line of code in the setfuel past of scripts.txt if im not mistaken, or that might be to stop the script kick, who knows.
