My 1st day in DayZ! And a weird glitch... Or something...?

Hi, yesterday I got DayZ, and I'm loving it so far! I had some amazing experiences, but then this weird glitch occurred at the end.

So basically, it started off on this server. It was night time, and I was failing miserably. I was talking to this guy on side chat, when I realised it was psisyndicate, one of my favourite DayZ youtubers! :D

So yeah, after being mauled by zombies a few times, I started afresh, and met new friend. I met him in the fire station, and I think he may have been new, too, because we both didn't know what to do, and looked hopeless xD

He guided me to the hospital, and we got some supplies, when this guy asked "Leo and Herman, you friendly?", and moments later fell down from a roof! He had a ghillie suit, and pretty good stuff.

I left the hospital, trying to guide the zombies away so Herman could escape, when someone snuck up behind me, and tried to kill me, but Herman saved me by shooting him!

Moments later, Herman got randomly shot, I heard a truck or something, and I was running around like a headless chicken, when eventually I got shot, too.

Now this is where it starts to get weird.

I think it might have been a glitch or something, but basically, my character was in the dead position on the floor, and I think it said "Leo was killed", but I could still open my gear, talk in direct chat, and look around with the alt key. I couldn't do anything else, though. Couldn't eat, drink, anything. I was just dead on the floor, but not dead :s

It gets even more strange though! I pressed start and clicked "Respawn". Now usually this kills my character, and I have to go through the character creation process thingy again. But not this time. This time, I automatically respawned into some barren wasteland. Nothing was there for MILES, I couldn't see anything but ground, there were hills and bumps, but nothing else. Just 1 huge empty land.

The weird thing is, there was a dead body a few steps away. We both had NO gear (Not even the bandage, painkillers, flash light, etc). So I clicked "Respawn" again, hoping for it to fix. But no, I spawned in the exact same spot again.

So I left the game.

Has this happened to anyone else? If so, how is it fixed? Just by leaving and re-joining?

TL;DR - Got killed, had control over my body, respawned, and it spawned me at some empty land.

P.S. Sorry if this is in the wrong section or something, but this glitch was really weird, and I'm wondering if it's happened to anyone else, or if it was someone hacking, or anything else?

Respawn and that'll fix the debug island issue.

Dunno what happened when you died, but if you get debugged just relog and you'll be on the coast again.
