Why do people consider Kamenka a bad spawn?

Because most of the action happens in Cherno / Elektro even though it's fully geared bandits on rooftops most of the time. I want to fight, not spend hours on end looking for gear that i won't actually use.

So in that regard, spawning in Kamenka is really shitty and especially when you spawn at the train bridge as there is no zombies there to suicide on and all you have is a 2.5 - 3 meter drop off the bridge to rely on.

If i where a lonewolf and all i ever wanted was to hoard gear and not actually play multiplayer then i would of course walk up past zele and onwards.

But then i should question why i even play DayZ in multiplayer if i don't actually want to interact with other players at all.

I don't particularly mind the spawn but for a few reasons i don't view it as the best of the spawns you can get.

It's a shortish trip to Zelenogorsk which is a nice stop, but more often than not i seem to run into the people refilling basic supplies for their camps since the forests west of Zele are pretty popular for camps (Haven't player for awhile so not sure if this is still true).

As said though, depends where you're heading, pretty horrible if your going for the cities, good for heading north though, if you get unlucky and aren't geared up for the NW then it's a bit troubling.

Every spawn has it's merits, 3 valleys is still dreadful though.

I personally don't like Kamenka because it's far away from any of the 4 hospitals in the game that you want to visit as they have morphine/bloodbag/antibiotics spawns. Sure Balota airfield is near but there's always the actual Balota spawn point so you don't even have to run at all. I think I've actually seen more fresh spawn killers in Balota than in Cherno/Elektro. I don't consider getting guns before meds/food important, which is why the bean wars capitals' spawns and Solnichniy rock.

That being said, yesterday I found a PBX and a ghillie suit in Kamenka but couldn't really enjoy them because I dropped all of my gear on spawn after seeing where I spawned and let some zombies smack me so I bled to death.
