Hate those topics. No one can answer that question for you.

Ask yourself:

1. Do i have patience? (you need it, trust me.)

2. Do i understand that the game is in alpha stage? (you will die to bugs)

3. Do i like a challenge? (A hard challenge)

4. Do i like to PvP/Teamwork and have unique social interactions with other players? (This makes the game)

5. Am I interested in helping to develop the best game in years? (You are here to test, not to play a complete game without bugs)

If you answer yes on all these question, you should probably buy Arma II and download DayZ. Arma II is a great game with tons of ways to play with different mods/missions. The game itself is worth the money. Not counting DayZ. But with the mod, it's a really great deal.
