WirlWind 0 Posted June 18, 2012 Something that's become fairly apparent after the new patch is that bleeding is a bitch. After you go through your first bandage, the next zombie that hits you is a death sentence. I was on 10k blood earlier and took a hit through a door and ended up dying (In no small part due to the hospital glass not breaking when I shot it).Unless the lore of the zombie apocalypse is that only hemophiliacs are immune to the disease, there needs to be a rethinking of bleeding mechanics imo.Something along the lines of -Hit for 4k blood, you will bleed for another 50% of the initial damage caused over X seconds (Numbers could be tweak, this is just an example). This still allows bandaging to be useful, since it saves you a lot of blood, but makes it a little more realistic and makes not having a bandage not end up a garunteed death sentence. WirlWind 0 Posted June 18, 2012 its only a problem at the start when you have nothing. they just need to change it to you have to be under 10k bloodTrue. Once you get to higher end gear, it becomes no trouble at all. It won't affect that either way.It will make the newbie start just a tiny bit fairer. Zombies can easily hit you randomly through a door / wall despite it being fixed and when you only have 1 bandage to start and no more are spawning (though that might be a bug with the new patch), it's something that needs to be addressed imo.Plus there's the whole "realism" aspect of it, but personally I'd just be happy to not die from skinning my knee while trying to start over. Kleid 0 Posted June 18, 2012 I do like this idea a lot. It seems kind of strange that without military-issue bandages, a paper cut will lead to your death. I'd like to be able to get punched by a zombie without worrying if I'm going to have to stumble back to town in an increasingly blind haze, falling down randomly, just to search for a bit of fabric and gauze. sgtsnug 26 Posted June 20, 2012 In regards to bleeding as a whole, the chances of it are somewhat too high, I mean you bleed over anything, falling off a small ledge, hitting something in a car, practically 50/50 everytime a zombie hits you.Really the chances need reduced, especially depending on the cause, car crashes generally lead to concussion and pain, whiplash and the likes, not bleed outs...unless you really hit something hard. And zombies if I perceive correctly pummel you not gouge with claws, so you shouldn't bleed so very easily.Breaking bones makes sense, thou why your legs and not your arms which you'd be blocking with I'm not quite sure. And being knocked out...sure that fits in because you could take a blow to the head or have bloodless, but I'd not have it possible when your health is very high, more half way down.. at least a quarter down. It's just silly to be completely healthy, get scratched by a zombie through a doorway and then bleed to death.Capping the bleed damage still leave it to be dangerous and bad, but stops you from dying to a papercut, yet still potentially bleed to death from a gunshot wound etc.
