Areas/Regions need certain items to enter?

This topic is for ideas i just came up with.

I'm thinking about for example places, regions on the map where you need a certain items to enter..

What if you need for example a gas mask to enter a certain area to avoid an infection or death because of to much toxics

or the place has been a mass grave for corpse burying when the outbreak happened.

You enter a building thats on fire because there is precious gear inside that you dont want to loose or somebody is throwing toxic smoke inside of your building to try to get you out..

I know the last one didnt make any sense but just to give you an idea....

I dont know if you even can set fire to things in the new standalone....

But these are just suggestions.....

I like this idea, a lot actually, this can add just enough to the game to make it all the more imemrsive. Higher Risk = Higher Reward, you want to enter that giant quarantine area that got over run by zombies and now it lingers a heavy decaying toxic environment over it. But you know there are supplies for DAYZ in there.

If you don't have the keys or specialist equipment to get into a locked-off area explosives generally work

i guess in the real world the specialist equipment would be easier to get a hold of then the explosives.....

dont know how easy its going to be in the SA tough

a place with spilled toxic waste could be a nice place to avoid zombies, the sewers could be a nice thing for that, even a metro station would be nice.

New places to exlpore would be the thing to make me come back to the game.

It'd be a welcome addition.

The specialist equipment could potentially be handled by particular members of groups.

This would allow teams to prepare for any given situation, while still giving lonewolves the same chances, but with the need to specialise. (you can't just carry ALL the tools ALL the time)

It could lead to more varied flanking manoeuvres, more emphasis on teamwork, more thorough looting and a greater sense of exploration.

I also think this would create more things for a player to work towards....

lets say the sewer system was full of toxic gases and you need a crowbar to enter, gas tank for the air carried on your back, a gas mask and a weapon to kill the zeds down there.

when you are through the tunnel system there will be good loot down there because of something (could be a testing facility down there, i don't know, use your imagination).
