DayZ Origins - It's a long story!

So a friend and I got a whole dayz worth of DayZ Origins in and what a game it was.

We started off with nothing (as you do), I was on a bit earlier so I had made it to Branibor after spawning at Mitrovich.

Our goal: Salvation City.

We found an APC (armored personnel carrier) that had clearly been crafted by some survivors (I don't mean actual players, this mod had me thinking you could build your own choppers etc...).

After getting together some basic essentials we decided to head to the big bridge to see if we could catch anyone in ambush... it didn't really turn out as expected!

Part I - Open with a kill

The scene opens: Spence has just been killed by a guy with a D.M.R. We knew he was in the area because had heard his shots for the last 15 mins or so, so we were on our toes.

At this point the D.M.R. guy had already killed 6 or 7 other players. The shots were coming from roughly west of our position. He either had the same idea as us, or just happened to be heading our way!

Part II - Just driving no action, but I'm posting it for continuity. Strong language from the begining!

While heading to Spence I stop to change vehicle.

Part III - Driving while under fire, still not much action.

While on route to Branibor to get onto the duel carriageway to Mitrovice someone decides to take a few shots at me in Kryvoe.

Part IV - Finally some action!

After spotting a helicopter I finally make it to Mitrovice and to Spence, but it's not as easy as it sounds as we come under fire!

Part V - Doing up the chopper

After collecting all the parts we needed we set off for the chopper, relocated to fuel up, witnessed one of DayZ Origins' world renowned "Smooth" sunrises.

After flying over the mountain on the big (east) island Spence started teleporting from the chopper into the water and back constantly. When he logged out and in he was miles from anywhere stuck in the ocean...

This calls for a search and rescue!

Part VI - Off Shore Shenanigans

After saving Spence from the evil that was desync/lag and plucking him from the ocean we set a course for Salvation city again.

On the way I spot an off shore oil rig. Now, if you look at the Taviana map these this are apparently high value military... not in Origins!

We evacuate the rig and get on our way to Salvation City, this time... no arsing about, but the server doesn't agree!

Part VII - An Uninvited Guest

After the server restarted we got logged back in and refueled a little, then the other chopper shows up!

I will update this each time I have uploaded the next part of the story. I would appreciate feedback too :)

The next 4 parts I am going to upload all at once as they are quite short videos. If I find the time I'll learn how to edit videos to sew them together and lighten them as they are recorded at night time in game.

Can anyone suggest any software that would be useful (preferably free) in editing my videos and making them lighter?

Sorry about the huge delay in videos... I'm learning all about the fun of editing lmao, the last two skills show of my mad skills in video editing lmao...
