HexEdge 3 Posted February 12, 2013 (edited) Hi sorry if this is a bit of a essay but i have 3 things i need help with and didn't want to make 3 posts ;) First off Im a ture Bambi (both to the game and pc mod gaming) so plz go easy on me (and forgive me if i sound dump lol). I've been playing about a week now and can't wait for the standalone. Well on to what i need help on....a... I often cant join a server and get booted with the error code Battleye Script Restriction #40 or #44, well had a few other random numbers. After looking on the forums i read it was a server not a client issue so I thought it was there end not mine so to speak, also tried uninstalling and re-installing the game, and updating the BE Client files.. None of these have sorted the issues out, plus I have been booted with the same error codes after I take a break in the lobby and try to rejoin the game... Any ideas ppl all I want to do is play...b... Communication, before I start I dont have a mic so I am limited to in game txt chat. From what I've read I need to use the Direct chat for comms upto 40m away. But I don't really understand the Group chat does this talk to all players on the server?? why I ask is very often I can read what other ppl are saying but they dont seam to be able to see what I'm txting them.(which has cost me my life when i bumped into a paranoid survivor :P ).c... Lastly (thank heavens your saying if u got this far lol) I'm thinking it might be time to look into a whitelist server... After a week of playing wiv a few deaths to zeds, a couple of deaths by bandits, 1 death by paranoid survivor, I've finally be hit by a hacker (i think!!!) most of the players on the server all teleported in to the air all falling to their death >:(. So I guess I should say abit about me Im a mature gamer in the UK.. I've been playing very lone wolf (which I really enjoy) but if I was to join a group or clan I would enjoy a scavenger or medic role... I'm more of a survivor then bandit but not afraid to defend myself :lol: but I wouldnt want to play on a sever without bandits as they add to the thrill of the hunt :DWell Thx for reading and good hunting.....Hex Edited February 13, 2013 by HexEdge 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

White-list servers are normally very good at stopping script kiddie's before they can do damage. As for being kicked for restrictions1. Are you using DayZ commander? make sure your current patch matches your severs patch.2. 1 is all I got as i'm fairly new, and I'v found that Bambi is a term for new spawns that are unarmed not new players lol, I made the same mistake when I joined. We dont white list (its buggy and difficult for new players to figure out). 2: In our server we don't allow voice chat in our server unless its on direct or vehicle chat. We do allow side channel textin (most servers do not), this allows your to communicate. Very usefull for new players to ask those many questions. 3: We see very few hackers/script kiddies. We police the server very closely. And if that wasnt enough to ge you in check out our forums (change log in particular) and see all the work that has gone into the server.Stay frosty. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
