Do you have what it takes......

Recommended Posts

For a guy that never played DayZ , the only fun I get out of this game is from youtube and when youtube fails, I come here to keep everybody off the game to answer my annoying topics :P :D, but seriously though, that's what you came here for, to "discuss" DayZ, right ?

Anyway . Do you have what it takes......to play DayZ ?? I wanna know what the true players of DayZ think about this(by true I mean the legitimate players. That doesn't include hackers , script-kiddies and abusive admins) . Moreover , this is not the only thing I want you to think about . I want you guys to "describe" DayZ in both 1 word and 1 sentence according to how you see it . But that's easy, right ? The real challenge is , I want you guys and girls, DayZ players all over the world, to tell ME how do you feel, when YOU play DayZ . Expressing one's feeling is not easy , rather hard too . Oh there is no limit on that one :D.

Some will probably wonder WHY I haven't played DayZ, YET . I will of course be buying the SA the second it comes out :)(Let's hope that's soon, Better be... >:( ). Well simply ArmA II is great game , but I don't feel like buying it ( cause I'm BOSS and I can actually live with out lol ). Why should I buy it when the SA is coming out soon and ArmA III later this year in addition to my IGSCEs coming this May I wouldn't get real play time out of the $25 I paid . Plus I'm only 16 so my post-136775-0-16571800-1360697139_thumb. isresponsible for everything that happens, financially wise :D. Got a little sidetracked here , sorry .

Back to our topic. Do you have what it takes ? I wanna see works of art here guys and girls Don't disappoint me !!!

Oh please note that if you are a post-136775-0-89670500-1360697804_thumb. then post-136775-0-85593000-1360697848_thumb. or I will post-136775-0-10469700-1360697876_thumb. YOUR ASS !!!

Actually I'm just kidding . Only The untrue players, whom I mentioned above post-136775-0-85593000-1360697848_thumb. . Other than that you are free to post :D .

Before I start, how do I describe this wonderful game in both one word and one sentence?...

I guess "Wonderful."... but that just doesn't do it justice...

It's a game I used play . However you completely overlooked the "express your feelings about DayZ" part :D .

I did say no limit.

1. Fatal.

2. A brutal apocalyptic survival test.

What do I feel? I like to put myself in situations that test my nerves. Like trying to remain in Cherno for extended periods of time with only some basic gear, maybe an AK of some sort but not much ammo. Try to keep moving and visit all the different loot buildings numerous times and help players if possible. So I guess I'm usually stressed while playing because most of the time some one is hunting me. I don't like pure pvp, mainly because it just feels too much like cod. I like the fear of not knowing who else is around and if I had my way, servers would not display names or even how many players were in a server.

Now this is a perfect post .

For me, well not me, for all the videos I watched , I think that moment when you spot a player , is when the best of DayZ comes out . The decision of killing him or being friendly, for me that's the best time you can spend .

out of 100 hours of dayz you get maybe an hour of enjoyment, so you are kind of lucky you dont have the game

One word, unforgiving. One sentence. Long periods of what would seem like mundane looting and running punctuated by adrenaline inducing encounters with other players.

How do I feel while playing the game, sometimes I feel like a huge dick who goes out of his way to ruin hours of hard work by shooting a well geared survivor/bandit/hero. Other times you can feel generous by helping out new spawns with a ride or gear. It really depends on what mood I am in and how long I can actually play for that session. But no matter what Shadow man nailed the prevalent feeling throughout any session of DayZ (well at least on a populated server), stress.

One word: Tedious

To sum it up fully in one go DayZ is is a zombie survival game with a mind numbing amount of players who think they are John Rambo making it probably one of the most simplest FPS shooters if you have had any amount of time getting used to the ARMA physics and also it's best to play it in small chunks either that or you will slowly find yourself bored and with nothing to do.

- Antagonist

- To brave this venture, you must be looking for your true self, what kind of mann do you think you really are?

I call DayZ the antagonist of gaming. Because it's really just another form of what Rocket himself calls it. The 'Anti-game'

One word to describe this game, Real. I don't just use this because it's a simulator, but because it brings out the reality in everything that has to do with it. The players, it shows how we would react in a zombie apocalypse, at least to the most part. It brings out real emotion. Sadness. Happiness. Anger. Even those that you have restricted from this place. Hackers for example, sure most of them are just looking to have it easy, but there are those who may just be looking for more out of the game. Those who strive to change the reality of things to distinguish themselves. Two phrases to describe this, "the sky's a limit" and "thinking outside the box". Of course, everyone is subject to their own beliefs, so I may have this opinion whereas others may have their own. Anyways, back on topic. I'd say that the emotions, as already stated, are real.

Your post would be more meaningful with less words. To answer the question though,

it's "Demanding"

This game demands your heart and soul, in the sense that for your character to survive and thrive, you must be devoted to the task.

Well a hacker is bad at playing the game, who takes a shortcut to whatever he/she wants . Hackers rage when they get killed (I mean everybody rage when they get killed , but getting killed is inevitable in this game ) hackers don't accept that , they want to be everything they can't be in real life . Most hackers are emotionally depressed and what's left are trolls by nature . Instead of facing their problems in real life, they take their anger and depression out on a video game . Simply wanting to make everybody's life miserable , like their own . That's my own personal opinion on hacker , scripters , etc... basically everyone that cheats at video games . Note that this might not be true . This is my PERSONAL OPINION .

I went a little off topic , please do accept my apology .

No more hacker talk !

One word: Tedious

When you have flown the Russian front ..endless white landscape spattered with black smudges of combat, dots of farms and sprawling snow capped forests twenty thousand feet below, for hours and hours on end and only seen one or two enemy aircraft that have been too far away too engage..then dayz actually becomes rather fast paced ;)

One word ?

Fragile.
