Can't get blood back from food

Recommended Posts

So I had a spot of bad luck (going prone the exact second a zombie saw me) which resulted in getting beat within an inch of my life when an attempt to vault a fence failed. Now my blood drop indicator is completely empty but eating food seems to do nothing - I've eaten 3 hunks of bacon and 1 can now without any visible change in my blood indicator :(

Has this been changed recently or am I just terribly unlucky? Do I just need to eat the last hunk of bacon and my last few cans of beans and hope for the best? I've noticed this for a couple days now but it wasn't such a big deal when I wasn't passing out every 30 seconds.

I'm playing on the DaHerp Clan server if that might be relevant.

Thanks in advance for any help proffered.

Look for the patch note, if I remember correctly there's a cool down for health regenaration from food.

3 min for canned, 30 min for meat, or something like that.

Thanks for the info, but I'm still a bit concerned as I saw absolutely no rise and, like i said, the meter's completely empty so it seems like virtually anything should show up

It happened to me once and you may have an infection.

However, remember the values for the meat: beef-600,rabbit-1600,bacon-400,chicken-400,mutton-400. The blood indicator icon has a resolution of 2000 units (12000, 10000, 8000, ...). if you eat 3 x bacon --> 1200 unit so the indicator may not move at all.

You seem a bit lazy there, here, I chewed the beans for you :

http://dayzmod.com/f...mmunity-builds/

* [NEW] - RawMeat blood values (beef-100,rabbit-400,bacon-150,chicken-100,mutton-100).

* [NEW] - Cookedmeat blood values (beef-600,rabbit-1600,bacon-400,chicken-400,mutton-400).

* [REMOVED] - You can no longer regain blood from cooked food for 1 hour after eating. (ie spamming cooked meat to regain hp)

Which means, you're still under 4000 HP most likely :)

Yes - the 1 hour delay is now gone:

---

if (dayz_lastMeal < 3600) then {

if (_item == "FoodSteakCooked") then {

//_regen = _regen * (10 - (10 max ((time - _Cookedtime) / 3600)));

};

};

---

So either the OP must eat a bit more to go above 2000 units to see a change or he has been infected so blood is constantly going down no matter what.
