Where is all the food?

I swear, I've been to hell and back all over Chernarus and I'm having the most difficult time ever just trying to feed my character.

Pretty ridiculous imho. There should be more food.

It's apparently bugged, I haven't seen any food or drink either, only weapons and backpacks. I actually resorted to logging out before the icons were even turning reddish, that way they were always green when I returned to the game later. Food is not an issue when you can hunt, tools for that are in plenty, but staying hydrated is pretty much impossible at the moment. Just wait for another hotfix :D

...look for matches, hatchet and hunting knife. Then "beans" are irrelevant...

Can I kill an animal with a hatchet? And do I have to cook the meat using a pile of wood or where can I start a fire?

No, you need a weapon to kill them. Then use knife to cut meat from them, hatchet to hack some firewood and matches to make fireplace. Then ignite fireplace and cook meat on it.

knife is for gutting... hatchet for collecting wood.. matches for starting fire! can start almost amywhere... but i advise only deep in forest and only for short time :P

there shouldn't be anything empty cause if they mak it harder they have to compensate! It's really not fun anymore!

Relax, Rocket's already found the bug and is working to release the hotfix as soon as possible.
