disorder 344 Posted February 8, 2013 (edited) Everyone has got used to the server naming system which is being used so that Rocket could keep track of public servers easier (I'm guessing), but with the explosion of modded and tweaked versions it has become a bit problematic.I've lost count of the amount of times I log into what appears to be a public server by its name, only to find it's been modded. DayZ Commander uses the name for filtering modded/unmodded servers as far as I can tell, but sadly everyone is still using 'public' style naming or are forgetting to update their server config.Anyway, I propose a new server naming system to accurately reflect private or public status. Something like Pub or Prv in the name would be really helpful. Extra extensions can be used for people running (m)odded or (v)anillaFor examplePUB(v) UK 28 (VETERAN etc)PRV(m) FR 78 (REGULAR)With a new system my hope is that players will be able to find the servers they are looking for with a lot less hassle., but obviously it is a big change and will take time.Give it some thought and feedback, Edited February 8, 2013 by disorder 3 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
