BattleEye: Failed to update

Hi guys

i know its probably not a DayZ problem but i hope u still can help me

after a few month i wanted to start with DayZ again

i�m using dayz comander and the versions are up to date

But i am having problems with Battle eye

I tried many servers but after some seconds i�m always kicked for :

"Battle Eye: Failed to update"

I tried waiting in the lobby for it to update itself but it wont update to a new version

I also tried to download the new file directly from the homepage but it didn't work

when i google for version 1.191. i only find videos about hackers and stuff

can someone please help

I get that from time to time, Sitting in the lobby for a few minutes usually solves it but not always, I've just guessed that BE can't handle all the update requests it's getting so it times out.

Keep sitting in the lobby and if it fails drop back and try again :) It's annoying when it fails but be patient and it does eventully work

but it updated to the same version and i am still getting kicked

but i´ll give it a try and w8 some more time in lobby

Out of curiosity are you using Avira as your anti-virus ?

This was a problem from a fortnight ago where Avira was blocking battleye, I don't use it as any anti-virus and have no idea when/if it was fixed.

If you do use it then try disabling the real time scanning and try again.

I noticed that when my linux box is downloading i have trouble updating battleye too, as soon as i stop my downloads on the linux box all is fine again. Maybe this does anything for you.

havent used avira in a while

and i am not downloading anything at moment

im starting to think it might be this : registration failed: SSL connect error (SSL connect error)

Where do you see those errors ? It's not something i've ever seen while playing Dayz

I got the same problem, just try to disable the avira real time protection, and restart dayz, let the update go and see if it works better... If you're not using Avira, try with yours.

i managed to fix it now

it was indeed the avira ( i didnt even have it or the avira guard running but i had to start it and update it)

now i was able to update Battleeye in a server lobby and it works :)

please complain to Your AV company about these problems ... while we always try contact them, they sometimes not respond fast enough
