Hi guys after getting the steam version of Arma 2 and Arrowhead Ive tried to get DayZ working however after downloading everything from: http://cdn.armafiles.info/ and the latest patch from: http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php

Whenever I try and join a server I will get the notice: You cannont play/ edit this mission; it is dependant on downloadable content that has been deleted.cheranus,dayz_code, dayz_weapons, dayz_equip, dayz_vehicles. Despite me not deleting anything :/ I have redownloaded everything a few times but it is still coming up with this error. Can somebody please help? Ive been trying to get this thing working for 3 hours without success :(

This sounds really familiar.

I can't quite remember exactly what happened to me, but are you guys invisible and in some sort of god state? (Never get hungry, thristy etc., no debug menu (Little info box in top right corner), zombies and other players don't react to you)

If so, then make sure to have the latest beta patch (Google ARMA II Beta Patch) and run (And update) the game through the Six Updater/Launcher instead of using Steam and the Desktop Shortcuts.

This worked for me, although the Six Launcher gave me problems of my own (Which i luckily managed to resolve).

Try this:

Copy the AddOns-folder of Arma 2 into the Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead-folder.
