Let me just start of saying I haven't been playing Dayz for about 4-5 months or been on the website because

I have been busy with school and other things I wont go in to details.

So why am I making a post?. Well since I haven't been involved in Dayz for about 4-5 months I don't know how the development on the standalone is going. I was just wondering if Rocket have made any new announcements about the game, Like new interviews, release dates or anything really. If someone want to get me up to speed so i know how everything is going.

I am very excited about the game and intend to get is as fast as possible when it's released.

All help is of course appreciated and I apologize about the bad english/grammar.

I'm pretty sure there's no official date nor time limit regarding SA.

What we do know is, Rocket planned to climb Everest in June, not that it really means anything.

What? Where were we shown any sort of gameplay other than alpha builds of how to wear clothes and scenery?

That "april" thing has been going around for a while, then there's talk about what he wants to do before and after he goes to Mt.Everest in June. Noone knows at what point it's gonna be released and what features and their timing fall into pre-release development and post-release updates.

The release will hopefully be before April. I believe you can find all the information you want on dayzdev.tumblr.com. Also you can check the devteam's twitter for the latest news. A DayZ official page/game hub is already on Steam, even though there was never a public announcement (some of us discovered it investigating), which is a very good step that show us we're close. And also, (this is not confirmed, but it's a conclusion I've taken) the official page of the Standalone game is dayzgame.com, and days ago if you entered that page you had all the links to the twitter, tumblr and everything, but yesterday I've found out it was down. My conclusion is that they're starting to prepare the website for the release... I hope I've updated you enough.
