Will there be a patch for the food shortage?

It's unplayable at the moment. I can never find food and always die. This has happened several times today and it's frustrating. It's also very difficult to find the necessary items to effectively hunt/cook meat and water bottles are rare too.

Is this going to be addressed?

Edit: straight after I made this thread rocket tweeted about a patch lol
