Omaran 18 Posted February 6, 2013 To all those who play on UK417 Public Hive you will probably have noticed it has been down for the last day.I had some issues while trying to update to 1.7.5.1, and because I was constantly restarting it to see if I had fixed it, I put a temporary password on it (I was getting a lot of players trying to join every time I restarted).1.7.5.1 just wouldn't work, and I could see no reason why in the logs, so I rolled back to 1.7.4.4 - this time I can see in HiveExt.log a message about 'permission denied (using password=YES)', even though the password was taken off by now, so it looks like the server has been blacklisted from the Hive :(I have put in a Support Ticket, but as I have another open ticket I raised back in November about something else that never got answered, I am not holding out much hope it will get resolved - and if it doesn't, I will most likely turn this server into a Private Hive.Apologies to all the regulars who had made their home and camps on that server, thanks for making this the No1 Public server in the UK over the past months. It is a shame, as we had a lot of regulars on there, and it was only passworded for about an hour while I was stopping/starting it all the time!I didn't actually play on it (I play on my Private Hive), but I know how frustrating it is when your 'home' server closes and you lose all your camps etc :( Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

All of the the support for public hives was voluntary and when the game exploded in popularity the small team just couldn't keep up and basically disbanded. terrorizer33 131 Posted February 9, 2013 That does suck tbh. Understanable when its ran by volunteers. Just makes me wonder what the point is in renting a public DayZ server atm. We're (UK498) still having issues as well.. Basicly from the point we started renting our server untill now. I've send an email to Matt Lightfoot regarding our issues, but Im not keeping my hopes up.
