Decoy mechanics

"28 Days Later" style zombies may be terrifying, but they should still be dumber than the player. A player with the right tools should be able to rig distraction devices.

Example:

If a player acquires a stereo from a residential spawn and finds batteries for it, the player could set it down, max the volume, and put it on loop to some music or something that the zombies would hear. Zombies would flock to it while the player runs out the back door or hides in a dumpster until they pass, and then until they punch the boombox into oblivion, they'll have a free go at the rest of the town.

Zombies could also be used as a weapon, throwing a flashbang at a potential foe would not only disorient them, but lead zeds in their direction. Sound traps could also be rigged to doors and doorways. A simple string across the floor or a glass bottle resting on top of the door could alert you and zombies to someone sneaking about in your area. Just a thought.

Yeh, this kind of thing could work like smoke grenades. I don't think radio's would work because of the trolls and the server lag it would cause but flashbangs or placing down your flashlight on the floor at night should attract zombies.

A trap feature should be added but i think (not sure) they working on something for the standalone.

But setting trap that make nose would be good if you doing something in you inventory (or camping in the center of electro) and somebody enter the building would ''activate'' the trap and you will get ready to welcome your unwanted guest.

Well the idea behind the boombox would be that the zombies would beat it to a pulp before you'd be able to find another one. They would be a rare spawn.

Or the batteries to operate it may be more valuable for something else .

Would be cool if you could cover other things up like supply drops or something of the sort.
