Just purchased ARMA 2 on steam..need anything else?

do i need arrow head as well to play dayz or just arma 2?

Yup, you need Arrowhead too. When you run them both they combine to make.....Combined Operations!!! Then you're good to go.

After you install Arma, install DayZ Commander (it's free and a small download). It'll update everything you need to the latest versions so you won't have to worry, you'll always be running the latest. It'll also allow you to install all of the extra maps that are now available.

you need dayz commander that will take care of all the dayz stuff

you also need the arrow head beta it is free and located under arrow head on you're steam library

remember to run arma2 and OA to the start screen before installing dayz

You would of saved 2€ by buying Combined Operations. Anyways.

After that, you download DayZ Commander( DayZ Sixx) and go to install/update, install the Beta patch, DayZ, go to settings then, and check "Replace Original Arma2OA files with Beta so steam works", that will make the Arma version better, because DayZ Commander is sometimes buggy and wont update it to the newest version(the game itself). :)

You seem so, un organised, do some more research before you buy stuff ;)
