Low performance with 1.7.1.1

When starting Arma 2 and joining a server, the FPS is fine, much like before 1.7.1, but if I die, or disconnect and reconnect, the FPS drops from 1.7.1 feel like they're back again. I need to completely shut Arma 2 down and start it back up again for the FPS drops to go away, until I die or connect again to another server.

Core i7 930 and HD5970, if that makes any difference. Using 1.7.1.1 and beta 93825 to connec to servers running the same.
