Lighting problem

Recommended Posts

Just updated to latest ArmA 2 beta patch and at I drivers 13.1 running cross fired 2x 5870 and I logged into NZ28 server and while walking trough the bush the lighting goes really bright then really dark like crazy. Something in one of the updates has caused this. It's very shit. Keeping head level it's just bright dark bright dark and it's 1pm game time

Anyone experiencing this?

So apparently turning HDR to the lowest setting in my case normal, helps. It did seem to make it happen less often after I turned it down. Will try rolling back display drivers later.

I rolled back to 12.10 as 13.1 was causing regular crashes on my previously rock-steady 7870.

I haven't noticed the HDR issue as I run this at Normal anyway.

Hmm, a couple of other guys I've been playing with have said its been doing it a bit, it mostly happens in the Forrest, it's like the shadows from the trees playing up or something. I run everything maxed out with 2x 5870 in crossfire. Hey I'm happy at least my game doesn't crash anymore and no more blue screens of death since I upgraded to i7. Played all day today with no major dramasThat's one thing I haven't changed, I was planing on rolling back the display drivers and seeing if that has any effect.
