Can't join any servers.

Recommended Posts

Yesterday, I could join and play Dayz as much as I wanted. But today when I try it says something like "bad version, server rejected connection," or BattlEye failed to update. I did not have any of these problems the day before and I didn't play with any of the settings or filters in Dayz Commander, but after the problems started, I downloaded the most recent version of Battleye and replaced the old version in the folder. How can I fix this?

I always up date to the newest beta patch when its available. You can still join servers with older versions but some servers don't allow you to join if your beta patch is too old.

Dayzcommander's beta patch update is hosed (at least for me, always says 'out of date' and I am like 3 beta versions newer that what it thinks is the newest. YES I am running running the most recent of dayzcommander, it updates itself automatically). Manually update the beta patch. go to BI and download the most recent patch, run it, then YOU MUST copy the arma2oa.exe file from the blah\blah\blah\Arma 2\Expansion\beta\ folder to the blah\blah\blah\Arma 2\ folder. *blah\blah\blah is the path to those folders, which are somewhat specific to your computer* Let us know how it works out.

If you use DayZCommander then you shouldn't have to worry about moving around any of the executables.

I believe he was talking about moving the "arma2oa.exe" from "...\Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead\Expansion\beta" to "...\Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead" - which really couldn't hurt I guess

what he said... If you are having 'bad version' issues, you are NOT launching the 'newest beta' arma2oe.exe that you just installed (via the beta patch downloaded from BI), you are launching an 'older' one. DayZCommander *should* be launching from the 'beta' folder, but in case it is not (for whatever reason) copying it over is a sure fix, as the 'copy too' location is the default place arma2oe is launched from.

As for the 'Battleye failed to update', if/when you actually connect to a server, when you get into the lobby ALWAYS wait until you see the battleye message giving you your GUID. When BE updates, it will do so when you actually try to use it (that is when you join a BE enabled server). When you see your BE GUID (or it just says BE initialized) you know your BE has been, or is up to date. Sometimes when joining a game while BE is updating, messes up the update and you get kicked from the game...
