DayZ Bandit shenanigans!

So whilst playing on a Taviana server I decided to go on a bit of Reasonable banditry...

Yesterday a few people were flying a little-bird ( Heli ) and me and my friend sat and cautiously watched with an M107. We asked them if they'd seen a Heli or a boat because we wanted to go to the High value oil rig loot in the north-east and they said "No, we haven't seen any!" a likely story indeed!

So it wasn't 'till roughly an hour after then when we had a genius plan! Find a plane, fly low and slow and bail over the oil rig...so taking only a double-barrel shotgun and basic medical supplies to negate loss if we died and also to have something to defend ourselves with, we set off and found a plane. On our fly over we discovered that the players had a base on the island just before the rigs with ALL the Heli's and boats that had spawned on the map, but not the planes. ( Not enough space to land 'em ) So we decided to bail over there instead! Our plan to destory/move ALL the vehicles there to strand them and also to eat/waste all their food and ammo for "Teh Lulz". As you can assume...this did not go to plan.

We were lining up on the island when it appeared it wasn't where I thought it was ( We passed to get a good line up and having nothing to navigate it I missed it by a few hundred metres ) so we ended up being lost over sea, with little fuel and then...THEN " SERVER RESTART IN 60 SECONDS" We both panicked not sure what to do and bailed at mach 3 into the ocean.

Upon re-joining moments later, we discovered the plane exploded and we were now in the ocean...with a 3800M swim to the island...My friend logged in rage and I decided "Balls to it! LETS GO OCEAN!" and so I spent the next hour and twenty minutes swimming to their base. I was cold, wet, hungry, thirsty and low on blood when I touched the shore later and after reaching the well defended compound ( with sandbags littering the gates making it a pain to open them ) I nearly died to a single zombie, before I managed to get in the door gunner of a chopper. After securing the area, I looted their choppers, and destroyed all but one...destroyed the boat on the island and then ate/wasted ALL their food/water and took ALL of their weapons/ammo/equipment and then took off in the chopper.

After this, my friend logged back on ( This took roughly 4 hours to achieve ) and I picked him up in the chopper and we set off to make a camp on an island in the other corner of the map. Where we left for the day.

So this morning I tried to log on and low and behold...I've been banned from the server. :)

Well, that's my story...so now my bandit chums...what are yours? :D

I was in my hind(Mi-24) with my As50 being friendly and all, asking people if they need pickup's, blood, weapons. And bang, out of no where, a Huey starts shooting, he shoots of something called INST from my Hind, I went out of the hind(Jumped) he followed it floating in the air over looking for me. I then pulled the AS50, shot his main rotor, and bang, he flew down into the woods and was never seen of again :D

After talking to the admin of the server it appears he banned me for "Hacks" because no one should have been able to get there and destroy everything...when I told him I swam for over an hour to get there he went quiet for a bit and then unbanned me and asked me not to take anymore of his stuff in return for a helicopter :')

I'm glad the admin saw sense an unbanned you. But he really shouldn't be hoarding all the vehicles being a server admin and all. Since he has an unfair for advantage for finding the vehicles in the first place.

This took place on a private hive.

So this all started when me and my buddy were driving towards cherno, where we noticed a bandit with a nice M4A1 SD camo. Knowing that smaller confrontation would be useless, we decide to pull over and take him down with my M16 ACOG. after looting his body and refueling my truck, i noticed a littlebird, sitting on the shore waiting to be ridden till the cows come home. I shit my pants running to it, loving the fact that all it required was some fuel, and a good pilot. After getting my buddy to run down to the nearest gas tank, we fly inland a bit to get a more stable refueling area. Once fully fueled, we decided to fly around looking for camps/hidden vehicles, when out of nowhere a Huey comes blazing around a mountain unloading its payload on us. Being scared shitless, i dropped below 30m, swerving between forest lines for over 10 minutes not being hit once; then as inevitable as it was we took a shot to the main rotor, needing to end this quick, i surprised my self by landing in 10x10m clearing and dropping off my friend, who thankfully had an as50. Being the bad ass he is, he took the heli down within seconds, and killed the huey crew shortly after. we waited it out a while to make sure there weren't anyone waiting for us. it looked all clear so i swooped in and got my teammate out of there.

Here's some short videos of some banditing dickery with a couple of my friends I made a while back, some back story in the descriptions. They're kinda low quality because they were like the first videos I ever really put together, and before I had a second hard drive, so I couldn't record constantly and I missed a bunch of good stuff.

I was going to use the IED's I got to bait people into them, and/or try to be friendly with people then yell "ALLAHU AKBAR" and blow myself and them up, but I never got around to it before I eventually took a break and played other games... Damn shame.

Reinstalling today though so I can't wait to actually be able to record much more with my second hard drive.
