What is with my FPS?

Recommended Posts

I am getting very strange framearates..

On a Namalsk server with 15 other people i get about 30 fps everywhere and during the massive nuke my computer nearly blows up

On a normal server (chernarus) I normally get 30 fps and dont even get me started on my cherno and elektro fps....

SPECS

I5 3570k

GTX 660 TI

8 GB Ram

500 GB HDD

Can someone please help me i bought this rig specifically for this game.....

dude, I have i7 3770k, 3 x gtx 670 4gb, 32 gb 1866 ram, 256gb ssd and still only get 20fps in cherno and electro (and yes I've disabled hyperthreading, I've set video memory to default, I've set graphics options high to run off gpu rather than cpu.. blah blah fkn blah)

The game simply isn't optimised for high end pc's.

I'm hoping this gets rectified in the standalone, or even arma 3.

Edit: spelling errors because I'm drunk

people dont get that most of the peformance is server side and the rest that isnt is unoptimized as fuck. some people with 3k$ pcs also only get 20fps.

and until the standalone will fix this theres is nothing u can do about it except joining a good server

If you read through the various "why is my FPS so low?" threads, apart from players that old/low spec CPUs; a lot of Intel 3XXX series user have all sort of issues with DayZ.

The odd thing is that 35XX and 37XX should be equal to any task you throw at them. There must be some architectural/hyper-threading implementation in these CPUs that the ARMA2 engine really doesn't like.
