my installed version of DayZ doesn't match any server's version

I found out about Day Z from a Yogscast play-through. I've always been the sort for survival horror as well as free-roam games, so it seemed appealing. What I didn't realize is how difficult Day Z is to install! I Installed Day Z quickly but refused to run for a number of days . ArmA 2 combined operations (bought off steam) was riddled with various issues, and I ended up having to try a number of tricks with the files to get the setup and it took me ages to get it running. Finally after a few days of frustration and frantic troubleshooting, both Day Z and combined operations began to run perfectly.

I was really relived, and so, for the first time I ran Day Z commander and began to browse the various servers. I filtered all servers that didn't have the same Day Z mod that I had installed - and none came up. I turned off all the other filters I had in the hope that my search was simply too narrow, but still, no servers came up. My only conclusion can be that I have the wrong version of Day Z installed.

Do I need something else to download than just Day Z commander? or have I installed it wrong?

In any case, I would really appreciate any help with this, I'd hate to blow my cash on this game after all I've been through installing it!

Have you selected dayz only on the left side ???

if you select a different dayz map youll have to install the map first to play it.

select dayz only on the left side if its still not working click on install/update and install dayz and the latest beta patch.

if you want to play different maps click on install/update install the map and change it on the left side to dayz (your map) only.

This used to happen to me when i had "Run trough steam" in Daycommander

It's pretty difficult but

1.first make sure your only selecting day game mode and not dayz +

2.secondly check that your only playing on chernaraus (sp????)

3.If not working still then update your files

click on updates (i think it was called) on the top right, and see if there are any new versions you need to install/haven't installed. what version of DayZ are you running on?
