New Player Issues

I'm not sure if it was a server problem or not, but I wanted to share this.

A friend and I traveled from Kemenka to Komorovo, to Balota and finally Cherno. We found one can of pepsi on the journey. We didn't find a single can of food. I even managed to get into the Cherno supermarket and there wasn't a single can of anything, other than empty tins.

This is a huge problem. If we aren't going to spawn with weapons, we should at least be able to acquire food and water. And/or we should spawn with some, so that we aren't dead in a few hours.

Another problem is that we found a ton of higher tiered ammo along the way. Why are higher tiers mags in the loot tables for these cities along the coast? None of those guns spawn there. Why isn't there a crap ton of ammo for starter weapons? When we were lucky enough to happen upon a weapon, it either had no ammo, or very little.

I agree that it was a little bit too easy to survive before the last patch. Though, now it's really difficult. The elitists will tell us to GTFO and learn to play. Most of them don't have a brain. Sad, but true.

We should be able to find a middle ground. Right now I believe it's a bit too difficult.

I've only just started playing but I do not think it is too difficult. I've found that staying away from towns is key, find tiny villages with only a few zombies in, this way you can infiltrate easy and I've managed to find stashes of weapons etc. As with any survival situation, a lot of it is luck. Would be boring if it was not a challenge and a survival game is all about challenge.
