Server Not Saving Data

Hello guys,

Im rather new to Dayz but ive already come across a few problems.

The main problem being that whenever i log out and stop playing Dayz, and return the next day, I respawn starting all over again.

This is rather fustrating and annoying. Having to start over and over again while losing your loot everytime.

Moreover am i wondering what mod is the best to play on? Since there are a few different ones and i am not sure which ones are

used in all the mainstream youtubers are using.

New user here too. Same problem when I login to some servers. I have a feeling it may be because try have non-standard options enabled. It could be that the non std servers require you to save a separate profile on their servers so they can run their own mods and don't affect your 'main' dayz profile. I appear to have about 3 different profiles on different servers

Can anyone confirm this?

There are 2 types of server - Public Hive and Private Hive

On Public Hive there is a central database, meaning you can jump between servers and your character is saved across servers. Public Hive also sees a lot of hackers on the servers.

On Private Hive the database is unique to that server (the DB normally runs on the server itself) meaning that your character is only saved on that particular server. You see far less hackers on these as the server admin has more control.

If you decide to play on Private Hive just find a server you like and stick to that one.
