I really don't understand what causes a bike or car, or even helicopter to suddenly repair after you exit and re enter the vehicle.

Is this normal or something is broken? Usually if I hit the wheel of a bike and exit then get back on the bike the damage is gone.

Last night I landed a helicopter a bit too harsh and saw some yellow and orange damage indicators, yet when I exited to refill jerry cans and entered the choppper again the damage was GONE! I was running around trying to find scrap metal only to find my chopper fully repaired....

Is this intended or a bug?
