Taviana Volcano: Lethal?

Right, ok, first time posting so bear with me. Also note that I'm doing it from my phone so some features on the forums might not work (I haven't seen any 'stickies' as people have moaned to other people about, but I don't even know what they are). Anyway, to the point. I play Taviana a lot (taviana.com, not dayzland.eu, another thing I don't get), and basically a clan on the server have got two helis (A Huey and a Little Bird). I have a few land vehicles and a PBX on the server but these guys are going around shooting everything they see, and so I want to remove this privilege from them. Watching their flight paths I either think they store the choppers in the volcano in the western island or on the oil rings to the north east. So before I try the volcano, is it actually safe? Can you put vehicles there? I don't want to get to the top and get killed for nothing.

TL;DR

Is the western island's volcano safe to walk, run, drive and/or faceplant on?? I've never been there.

Watching YouTube videos you can walk inside the volcano without taking damage.

Volcanoes are safe and you can even drive car there :D On the dayztaviana.com version I haven't been able to store chopper on oil rigs over server restart. Somehow after server restart chopper gets destroyed :/

Yh the choppers get destroyed on both versions of Taviana from what i've experianced, must be a issue with the map. The volcano is probably where they are hiding it but watch out cause the volcano is also the debug area where people appear while logging in so don't get spooked by random people appearing.

I watched the Frankie videos and they were killing people that were logging in showing up in there.
