Double Barrel Shotgun Ammo

Ok guy's i keep finding double barrel shotguns with slug ammo but recently i've heard that pellets are better for pvping close range.Is this true?

Yes pellets are better for PVP combat they do a total of 2000 blood per hit close up hope this helped :)

That's a fairly deadly weapon then.... but I wonder what's the pellet range? Anyone has an idea over this? I get the fact that it's pellets but what is exactly the effective range with that type of ammo?

Pellets are deadly and even at a fair distance they are an instagib. I would say around 25-30m is when the spread gets too large for 1hits.

Pellets in this game are viable out to about 50 metres. The problem is, the double-barrel has a REALLY long cadance. It's like two seconds before you can fire the second barrel, so you really want to one-hit them, which is within 20-30 metres, really. Killing zombies with it is fairly easy.

It's a shame that the farm shotgun doesn't drop any pellets ever any more...
