i want to play this game but ify about all the crap i need to buy before buying stuff. do i have to buy arma 2 and download the dayz thing or what?? help me please.

You need Arma 2, and Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead. They can be bought on steam as a bundle called Arma 2: Combined Operations. My suggestion is then is go to DayZ Commander and download that. It will download the Arma2 Beta stuff and DayZ mod, and keep them up to date for you. Its interface is nice and helpful in finding servers to play on, and maps to download. Nice features too.
