Smithycroft 1 Posted January 20, 2013 (edited) soo... after hours of running, being shot at, stabbed in the back and all that jazz I finally got the hero skin!Even before I had it I loved it, despite it not being the best camo..at all.. but my joy was short lived, after healing up a group of bambis in elektro to get my skin for the first time I headed up north into the tree's and aborted to get a drink, came back n the skin was gone. I was left with the normal survivor skin instead, Okay no worries maybe just some server lag or something I’ll just have to find more people to medic, so after a quick run up north to gear I got a message saying someone needed help badly n couldn’t see anything, so I ran across map to him and again got my hero skin BUT again it was short lived after checking a few hunting stands I aborted again to shower, came back and was back to a normal survivor! So again I set off to find another in need, but this time I changed server thinking it might have been that, and this time I was running loot runs with a friend, and again I got my hero skin few hours pass and a bus ride later I get kicked from server when a huge piece of scrap metal spawns on the road, with me under it....and AGAIN i lost the damn skin!So iv managed to get hero skin 3 times in 2 days and managed to lose it 3 times >.<I’m wondering if i need too do something to keep it permanently or if this is just a bug?I haven’t killed anyone at all so I don’t know what’s happening..tl;dr I broke my hero. Steak and Potatoes 13480 Posted January 20, 2013 Once you earn the hero skin you need to do a bit more healing to keep it in tact or else it will change back on relog. One blood bag after you have earned it will get you back the hero from survivor but if you log it will go away. Make sure to get in two or more when your on again. One to get back to hero another or more to keep it that way for when you log back out and it should stay for the remainder aslong as you arent murdering. namco-4 50 Posted January 20, 2013 My recomendation is, after you get the hero skin, put on a ghillie or camo, when you log in the next time take the ghillie/camo off. If youre a hero, good, if not, give blood until you get it, then it should stay. the reason is that humanity is glitched in civilian clothing. ghillies/camo solves that issiue and register your actual humanity. i hope this helped.
