Where are weapons?

I ran around in this game 6 hours today. Never saw a weapon once. I would go through buildings etc only to find soda cans and ammo. After awhile I would aggro some zombies then just let myself die since it appears impossible to out run them. rinse and repeat.

Then you're quite easily the unluckiest person in Dayz.

They spawn everywhere usually. Pistols, winnies, double barrels, lee enfields.. just keep searching buildings.

Do different servers have different spawn rates for weapons?

I had the EXACT same results today. 6 hours and never found a weapon. Brought it up on here and was told I was making it up so be prepared for people to call you a liar rather than take Rocket's cock out of their mouth for 2 seconds.

Leave the Coastal Towns, get out of them FFS. 6 Hours? I could get to the NWAF and have rare weapons and head all the way back to the coast in that time easily.

You need to head straight North and hit the towns along the way, you will find food and water easily so just run directly North and dont bother with Cherno and Elektro unless you have a death wish.
