My Brilliant Idea about world chat

1) make a new loot item, Walk-talkie, which when found allows you to global chat with people just like side channel did.

OR

2) Spawn computers/radios in certain houses and or rooms that cannot move, and the player must remain within a certain distance to chat with server.

Why is this needed? without global chat the game seems so.. dead, and kinda less fun.

It is confirmed by rocket, that additional communication methods will be introduced in 1.8 forward. This most likely means radios or cell phones.
