Vanilla private hives

I'm a bit of DayZ purist I guess, I prefer servers with the default DayZ settings. Things like no side-chat, regular loot, regular number of vehicles, full day cycles, etc.

I always have such a hard time finding servers with those settings when I try to play private hives. DayZ commander is great for a lot of stuff, but it doesn't show those settings and most servers don't put them in the title.

So... can anyone recommend me a good private hive(any map) that runs ALL the vanilla DayZ settings? Populated would be a plus.

agreed, maybe hit the dayzcommander forums and demand a vanilla search option

I'm sure it's difficult for DayZCommander to detect the presence of(or lack of) scripts that alter the server, or they would already have those settings listed.

Im starting one soon that has all vanilla settings, except for a few more vehicles if you are interested?

Doesn't dayzcommander show you the official servers? I am pretty sure it is the same thing, so i apologize if it is not have only been using commander for a few days - used six for months however.

Edit: Yeah i think it does, like on commander look at dayz servers only - then if there is a cloud like symbol with a little cross then its not on the official hive, or am i wrong?

You are correct, but that only indicates they're connected to the offical hive. I'm looking for private hive servers with main hive settings. For example a Namalsk server will never be considered "official" but it might share the same settings as an official hive server.

Try The Unforgiven Private Hive Servers with original settings except side chat is on, Two Maps are open daily (Chernarus Map and another map like Lingor, Taviana, etc. in weekly rotation except Chernarus which is on constantly).

I wish there were more of these. I don't want 500 vehicles and 30 helicopters. If I wanted that many vehicles in an open world game, I'd be playing wasteland, because that's effectively what the game becomes. Vehicles shorten the games life in opinion. Everything can be done in such a short time, it's too easy.
