wrong DAYZ CODE (?)/how to install beta

hi people , thanks for the replies.

Here's what i can see when I launch a game in any server :

Its saying that I have a wrong version of dayz_code apparently (i'm running 1.71 version while servers are at 1.70).

Is it linked to the fact I didn't manage to install the latest (and my first) beta patch?

Thus my further question :

Once I have downloaded the .rar file of the beta patch , where do I extract it?

Sorry if it feels noobish for you but I'm new to the mod and community of arma , please be kind :)

nothing you can do, server needs to update.. find a new server until then

it doesn't matter where you extract the beta package.. you only need to run the extracted executable and it will install automatically after confirmation

I installed the beta patch.And followed :

Download and install beta patch from http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php (Latest patch is in the green field top of page)

2. If you are met with a "Password screen" then choose the top version on page (Not in the green field)

3. Go to the Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead directory (for example C:\Program Files (x86)\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2 Operation Arrowhead) and right-click -> edit on .cmd file "_runA2CO_beta.cmd". Search for ":run" near the end of the file. Add ";@dayz" without quotes to "-mod=%_ARMA2PATH%;EXPANSION;ca".

4. Run "_runA2CO_beta.cmd" and enjoy playing!

You may create a new shortcut to "_runA2CO_beta.cmd"

1)Where do I put ";@dayz" ?

I know I jave to put it here but where : "-mod=%_ARMA2PATH%;EXPANSION;ca".

2)I am doing it right?^^
