Hi there everyone! My name is Peter, but most call me either Pete or Myrr. I am the owner and founder of Gerbil Mountain, which is a gaming community that has been active since late 2007. The server has been open for gold members and friends of gold members for roughly a week but we are with this thread launching it to the public. We will also post on other forums. This is your chance! Challenge fate, embrace your destiny; survive. If you start now, you will have a much better chance of being able to establish a base before anyone else. Below you can find some more information concerning both the server and the community.

[GM] (also known as Gerbil Mountain) is an old community that houses several branches including Minecraft, Call Of Duty: Black Ops, Counter-Strike: Source, Garry's Mod, DayZ and more. Some of these branches are no longer active but will become active again fairly soon. Our main focus is roleplay and getting people involved in the storyline. Our DayZ server is not specifically a roleplay server, but roleplaying is still encouraged. It's a generally warm and welcoming community that strives to improve the gaming experience for all. • Use common sense
  
• No hacks, scripts or any form of abuse is allowed - Such as hacking to give yourself items or teleporting
  
• Disconnecting to save yourself from death or trouble is NOT allowed - Be it from zombies or players. This is a survival game. This is punishable by kick/ban
  
• Use common sense - Don't spam the chat and don't be racist in the out of character chat. Behavior in the form of offensive/rude language in the chat (text or voice) is punishable by kick and possibly a temporary ban
  
• Don't try to abuse loopholes in the rules if you find them. Instead, report them directly to us so that we have a chance to act
  
• If you experience a glitch and die because of it, don't respawn! Merely contact us and get to the lobby.
  
• Don't openly accuse someone of breaking the rules or anything, this only creates drama and fuels it further. Instead, merely contact an administrator and we will resolve the situation. Please make sure to take screenshots and/or film the transgression

I'm glad you feel that way! It's a completely new server and we only launched it roughly two weeks ago to our gold members and decided to launch it to the public now. Hopefully you will keep enjoying the server and the community in general :)

Thanks everyone for checking the server out! Sorry for the bump, I just wanted to give you a progress report! :)

The server is very much alive and the popularity is increasing. Just now when I joined it had this many players and it is currently increasing.
