Game not recognizing beta patch?

So my server was 1.6 last night, was playing fine, then today I see they updated to 1.7.1, so I go download the files, then grab the latest beta patch, run it, then try again, and it wont work, it's like the game isn't recognizing the beta patch... in the corner it says the incorrect version, it doesn't match the latest...anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

I also tried the six updater, clicked update and it still didn't work.

You have to copy the exe from the expansions/beta folder and paste it into the main folder again.

Did that and now I'm getting some error about 3D 9?
