i have tried many of those youtube movies but non of them works. i bought the game in the store and not on stem so i dont get all the rar files the youtube people get. please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so you basicly want to install dayz mod? ever tryed adding the game to steam (dont know why should do that^^). Or some of the Installer like Playwithsix and Dayzcommander?

If you have Both DVD versions(arma2 and Arma OA) its easy.

Install Arma2 from DVD, after install, just play ONE game with it.

After playing one game open dayz commander or Play with six, it will say you have to update your Arma2 installation, do it and make sure it is updated with all latest patches.

Only then install Arma Operation Arrowhead, same story, play just one game, and start "play with six" or "dayzcommander" Make sure you have the latest patches for this version installed.

Only after these staeps install DayZ

Play with Six or DayZCommander are very helpfull for this route of installation.
