...Play at nighttime.

I'm not joking in any way, just try it; compare the HUD eye at day and night time.

Day: At least 3 bars no matter what.

Night: 0 bars, 1 if you have a torch on, 2 if you are on a road with a torch on. To top it off, zombies prioritize chasing flares and chemlights, so when in trouble, just chuck a flare at your feet and run off.

Are they attracted to light in 1.7.1.1 because in earlier versions I could point my flashlight right at they're face and they wouldn't even react. By the way I love playing at night, especially in a thunderstorm couldn't ask for a better setting.

I was just playing at night and I got close as heck to em using a chemlight and I was fine, that's about all I can tell ya.

Just tell her that, unfortunately, the only women to survive the zombie apocalypse were really, really ugly. :p

They don't react to weapon mounted torches at all. But players do :D
