bert0mac 2 Posted January 12, 2013 so not only is every single experience i have of playing dayz completely plagued with hackers. blatantly teleporting and spawning whatever they want... i also find myself global banned...having never hacked.. i think as a community, with the upcoming release of the dayz standalone..should be more active in combating hackers and stopping this crap from happening to honest players. i have no clue how to spawn or teleport. the worst i have ever done is take gear out of a hacker box that i found in cherno.. yet i cant play dayz even though kids teleport me or spawn helicopters and gear all over the place..i have already contacted battleye about my ban but i have yet to hear a response.anyone else having these kinds of issues? Guest Posted January 12, 2013 Nope, next time try not to download hack-programs or other suspicious material.Don't do the crime if you can't do the time :)
herrjon 478 Posted January 12, 2013 It has to deal with how accepting Arma II is of scripts. All scripters need is a simple bypass and they go undetected. Standalone won't be the same way. It will be it's own game and not a mod, so it will be harder to use scripts in general. The Dev's know hacking is a major problem, the number 1 problem in fact, but they can't do much with how Arma II is and focusing their efforts on making sure the Standalone is as secure as possible. As for your ban, I won't touch that conversation. Guest Posted January 12, 2013 im glad that its the hacker denial whatever. if i had a hack id go to the place i got the hack to get a new cd key....instead im trying to resolve my issue through official channels...so thanks for not helping whatsoever. post elsewhereFirstly I suggest you search the forums and post this complaint about hackers in the other 500 topicsSecondly I don't know why you were banned, Thirdly you contacted Battleye so be patient and wait for their response. Thanks
herrjon 478 Posted January 12, 2013 (edited) Guess I will make one comment on the ban, more of a question. What do you hope to get from complaining about a battleye ban on a public forum? The only people that could actually resolve the issue are Battleye themselves or the admin from the server you initially got banned on. You contacted Battleye now you just wait. They have to sift through all the other may or may not be scripters asking for ban appeals, so forgive them for taking their time and not sending the real scripters back into the game.Making a thread on a public forum about this is just asking to get flamed. If I were a moderator this thread would already be closed before more people jump in.Edit: If you want to share the experience, use the search bar, it shouldn't take you long. Bludy 324 Posted January 12, 2013 1) the forum is full of people coming here asking your same question: contact battleeye, but if this isn't a false positive (stuff in the box?) you'll need a new steam account and a new copy of arma 2.2) i've read your other threads and i think this is not really the mod for you, but you are free to play what you want.. Mos1ey 6301 Posted January 12, 2013 (edited) It's your responsibility to protect your CD-key, not anyone else's. The only way it can be stolen is if you download and run a dodgy .exe file or give someone direct access to your PC.Only BattlEye can help you now. I've heard of people who have had their CD-key stolen being given a new one in rare cases, but I wouldn't hold your breath.
