Why do Clans train?

Recommended Posts

I always found it baffling why some faggs bother to "snipe" on servers, isn't it taking this game a bit too seriously?

I myself have been sniped while running around Cherno, The sniper must have full gear, I really don't see what sniping me is going to accomplish.

It also servers no real purpose except to grief other players.

That was in poor taste...

I myself have sniped entire "training" teams while they were running around in Cherno together like idiots, I really don't see what they are trying to accomplish, rolling around in large crowds makes it easier for snipers like me and it also serves no purpose, apart froms sniping there are no other skills which require repetition.

I could argue that they're making it more difficult for snipers like you because they're learning how and when they'll get sniped and probably avoid those situations in the future. If you weren't sniping at them, they wouldn't be learning anything.

I find it just as baffling that people like you sit outside Cherno and snipe people. Killing people that have little to no chance to shoot back seems like you're taking the killing part of DayZ too seriously. If you're not being threatened, what's the point other than to come here and brag about clicking your mouse on people.

But, to each their own, you probably enjoy what you do, and so do the clans who're training.

It's probably coordination and cooperation training, in Dayz it's very easy to disorient yourself in a group. And since enemies can come from anywhere vocal coordination is difficult to learn. You've probably never played with 2 or more buddies, things get exceedingly disorganized with more players. Gamers don't generally have military training for that.

This.

Our "clan" (rather a group I'd say, but potato potato etc) trains, as in navigation for eachother. Just yesterday we were 3 of us on, trying to get a heli that sat on the middle of the road and whole server knew about it. Probably someone putting it up as bait for sure. But in the end I could almost have no feckin' idea where my mates actually were, and in such a area as we were with forests and all it's not good enough to think "he's 500m N of object X", I need to know which tree or with which bush my mate is laying in so that when another pooper runs in the area I do not need to use valuable seconds on teamspeak just to clarify, I should already know.

I enjoy shooting people from over a mile away, it takes skill and patience.

Once you hit full gear you have two options, make a camp/repair a heli or go bandit and snipe people.

I find the former extremely tedious and boring, so I choose to kill other players instead, besides this game would be boring as hell without players like me.

Agree with everything except for flying, that takes time to learn!

Lol, training in a public game... GG.

Might as well dress up at the same time

Fuck yeah man, my mate Evilution on here was in Afghan and has some war paint, he's going to send it over so we can get fully immersed.

Day Z is based on a military simulator. If there was ever a time to 'train' it would be for a game like this.

I really can't see how you are all missing this point.

I would love to see any of you stand up to a team that works together flawlessly, and perform precision fire and maneuver, while your bunch of weekend warriors are all screaming on skype as they get executed one by one.

You can bet your beans they will tear you up every time.

His point is. That everyone has a difrent view of fun. why make a thread whining about clans training. when your doing something other despite.

Let them train to their hearts content. shoot them when you see them. and dont go whining on the forum like a little bitch when someone plays the game is a different way then you do.

You kill people from over 1600m in DayZ? I wasn't aware the view distance would even allow for that.

Those aren't snipers, they're kids spamming long range rifles. Snipers are a whole different story
